Vintage Jacqueline Tuteur Silk Screen Serigraph Print, Signed, Limited Run 12/200 entitled Window Washer. It shows a single window washer on the side of the World Trade Center with a view of Manhattan beneath. The art itself is in pristine condition, although the lower edge of the paper did sustain some moisture damage sometime in decades past. This damage is not visible as it is under the mat but I have photographed it. It is presented in the original silver metallic frame from the 70's which has some scrapes, scratches and bumps but could be easily replaced.

From the web: Jacqueline Tuteur began silk screening in 1973 upon graduation from the S. While most people are fascinated by the artist's work few understand the mechanics and intricacies that are involved.

Serigraphy, the fine art of silk screening, is a form of graphics whereby ink is pressed through a screen onto paper. A separate stencil is required for each different color in the design. Photographer as well as printmaker, her work starts with her own original black and white negatives. A series of high-contrast positives are made corresponding to different tonal areas.

Each film separation is then exposed onto a different silk screen. Various oil-based inks are mixed and applied separately to each screen. Her development of this technique enables her to capture with precision detail the architectural design of her city scapes as well as the soft tonal ranges of her landscapes. She exhibits in several shows each year and has won numerous awards.

Her work is included in galleries and corporate art collections in New York, Boston and Los Angeles.
